Gag Grouper season re-opens on September 16th through November 15th !!!
September is going to be a great month to go Deep Sea Fishing! All of our recent Offshore Charter Fishing trips have been action packed with Big Red Grouper, Amberjack and Mangrove Snapper keeping us busy and making for a very exciting day of fishing.
The biggest news this month is Gag Grouper season, which has been closed most of the year will re-open September 16th and close November 15th. Now is the time to take advantage of some of the Gulf of Mexico’s finest Grouper fishing as Gag Grouper fishing is better then ever and will be a nice addition to the cooler and the diner table. The best fishing will be on Rock Piles, Reefs, Ledges and Wrecks in depths from 70 – 100 feet. A 3/4 day or longer fishing trip is required to reach the prime Gag Grouper spots as this gives ample time for everyone to spend fishing, catch the limit and move on to other great fish such as Amberjack and Mangrove Snapper.
A good assortment of dead and live baits worked on or near the bottom will guarantee a good bite and you never know what other fish species will show up. The Gulf of Mexico is full of surprises! As always, there’s no fishing license required and we supply any and all tackle needed for your trip on the water.
