March is going to be a very exciting month to get out and do some Deep Sea Fishing! Winter will be behind us and we are gearing up for great fishing to come early this year. Red and Gag Grouper season is closed, but the Red Grouper season will open in April on time and as planned. They’re are many fantastic offshore charter options including Grey Snapper, King and Spanish Mackerel, Cobia and Sharks as they migrate north and congregate off our coast. The Gulf is already warming up and the fish are biting! The weather for March can be a little unpredictable with the continuation of cold fronts pushing deep into the south and our area, BUT looking at the long range weather forecasts for this month it really is looking like this will be an exceptional March for fishing. Temperatures are projected to stay in the mid 70s and even reaching into the upper 80s. This will definitely bring the Gulf waters temps up quickly and in turn will produce some of our best March fishing.
